Abstract: В статье содержится анализ статистической информации о деятельности физкультурно-спортивных центров и учреждений дополнительного образования Республики Беларусь, их педагогическом потенциале. Применялись теоретические и эмпирические методы. Нами зафиксировано снижение количества данных учреждений в Республике Беларусь; проблемные аспекты – недостаток педагогов, текучесть кадров, вопросы развития внебюджетной деятельности. В перспективе планируется изучить взаимосвязь количественного состава физкультурно-спортивной среды областных центров Республики Беларусь и структуры заболеваемости учащихся и студентов по регионам.
The article contains the analysis of statistical information on the quantitative and qualitative activities of sports and recreation centers and institutions of additional education of the Republic of Belarus, their pedagogical potential. These institutions are aimed at organization of out-of-school physical activity of students, as well as free time of students, versatile personal development, meeting individual needs for moral and physical improvement, adaptation to life in society, formation of professional orientation and so on. In the course of the study theoretical and empirical research methods were used. The main relevant directions in the work with students in order to ensure further development of the system of institutions of additional education of children and youth of the Republic of Belarus are: improving career guidance, the possibility of organizing pre-profile training, development of youth volunteer movement, inclusion of teachers of additional education in innovative activities. At the same time, we note a decrease in the total number of additional education institutions for children and young people in the Republic of Belarus in recent years. At the same time, geography of sports and recreation centers of the Republic of Belarus is also incomplete. Their absence in Mogilev and Brest regional centers was recorded. Reorganization of a number of institutions for additional education of children and young people has affected elimination of some of the popular activities and the loss of a large part of the target audience. The problematic aspects of the system of additional education of the Republic of Belarus is lack of teachers, staff turnover, lack of experience of young professionals, development of extra-budgetary activities of institutions of additional education of the Republic of Belarus and so on. In order to improve the psychophysical condition of children and young people, in our opinion, it is necessary to intensify the work of associations for the interests of physical culture and sports orientation (13,7 % prefer) and sports and technical orientation (9,6 % prefer), tourist and local history orientation (9,9 %). In the future, it is planned to study the relationship of the quantitative composition of the physical culture and sports environment of the regional centers of the Republic of Belarus and the structure of morbidity of students in the regions.
