dc.description.abstractThe article is devoted to the problem of developing the emotional intelligence of young people. It has been proven that Ukrainian language teaching is a tool that positively affects the development of emotional intelligence. The authors describe the method of cognitive learning of the Ukrainian language, which is based on the integration of cognitive and communicative activities of students. Three hundred twelve students and 16 teachers from various educational institutions in Ukraine were involved in the experiment. Hall's method and conversations with teachers and students were used to assess the impact of the methodology on students' emotional intelligence. Empirical data were subjected to statistical analysis at a significance level of 0.05: the Pearson test was used to confirm the normality of the obtained distributions in groups, and the student's test to evaluate the means separately for each scale. The analysis of empirical data proved a statistically significant positive impact of the cognitive learning method of the Ukrainian language on various parameters of emotional intelligence (emotional awareness, managing one's emotions, self-motivation, empathy, and recognition of other people's emotions).
dc.description.abstractСтаття присвячена проблемі розвитку емоційного інтелекту молоді. Доведено, що навчання української мови є інструментом, який позитивно впливає на розвиток емоційного інтелекту. Автори описують методику когнітивного навчання української мови, яка ґрунтується на інтеграції пізнавальної та комунікативної діяльності учнів. До експерименту було залучено 321 студентів і 16 викладачів з різних навчальних закладів України. Для оцінки впливу методики на емоційний інтелект студентів використовувався метод Холла та бесіди з викладачами та студентами. Емпіричні дані піддавали статистичній обробці на рівні значущості 0,05: для підтвердження нормальності отриманих розподілів у групах використовували критерій Пірсона, а для оцінки середніх окремо для кожної шкали – критерій Стьюдента. Аналіз емпіричних даних засвідчив статистично значущий позитивний вплив когнітивної методики вивчення української мови на різні параметри емоційного інтелекту (емоційна свідомість, керування власними емоціями, самомотивація, емпатія, розпізнавання емоцій інших людей).
