Анотація
У статті окреслено окремі аспекти формування медіакомпетентності майбутніх учителів історії у процесі навчання історичних та методичних дисциплін. Виокремлено вміння та навички, які характеризують медіакомпетентного вчителя історії. Обґрунтовано освітній потенціал історії для розвитку медіаграмотності учнів. Окреслено дидактичні можливості медіазасобів для підвищення ефективності шкільної історичної освіти. Визначено завдання, напрями, умови та методи формування медіакомпетентності у студентів-істориків. Запропоновано приклади практичних вправ з інтеграції медіаосвіти в навчально-виховний процес, які застосовувалися під час проведення занять зі студентами в межах курсу «Історія рідного краю (на прикладі історії Сумщини)».
The article outlines some aspects of media competence formation in future history teachers in the process of teaching historical and methodological disciplines. Theoretical and empirical methods were used to achieve the goal of the study. The educational potential of history for the development of students’ media literacy is substantiated. The didactic possibilities of media for increasing the efficiency of school historical education are outlined. The abilities and skills that characterize a media-competent history teacher are highlighted: awareness of the importance of forming in students the media educational competences necessary for life in the modern information society; availability of skills and abilities to search, systematize, check and demonstrate information in accordance with the tasks; possession of the formed system of values, which will allow to orient effectively in the media space: to perceive, analyze, critically evaluate, and create media texts; possession of information and communication and media educational technologies; willingness to use media in future professional activities. Formation of media competence in future history teachers in higher education institutions is seen as a specially organized process, the tasks of which are to prepare students for professional activities in an information-saturated society, improve the quality, accessibility and effectiveness of historical education through ICT and media. The main directions of the tasks are introduction of skills of critical perception of information in working curricula for training history teachers, the use of media in teaching historical and methodological disciplines, development and implementation of a special course on media literacy for students majoring in history. Examples of practical exercises on the integration of media education into the educational process, which were used during classes with students within the course “History of the native land (on the example of the history of Sumy region)” are offered. It is proved that training of highly qualified media-competent teachers is one of the most important tasks of updating the national higher education taking into account European standards. Further research will be aimed at diagnosing the formation of media competence in future history teachers.
