“Analytical Reading in English” is a course designed to improve students' ability to critically analyze literature. The course covers a variety of topics including theme and tone, plot elements, character analysis, narrative point of view, setting, and imagery. The goal of the course is to help students develop the skills necessary to understand and interpret literature on a deeper level. Students will learn how to identify and analyze the various elements that make up a literary work, including themes, tone, plot, characters, setting, and imagery. By the end of the course, students will have a better understanding of how these elements work together to create meaning in a literary work. Throughout the course, students will complete a variety of tasks to help them develop their analytical skills. These tasks will include close readings of literary texts, group discussions, and written assignments such as literary analysis essays.
