Анотація
В статті здійснений огляд географічних напрямів – майбутніх професій для студентів
географічних спеціальностей. Актуальним є звільнення від низки стереотипів щодо професій
майбутніх фахівців в галузі географії, які демонструють однобічне розуміння суспільством
географії як науки та напрямків її застосування. На сьогоднішній день географія виходить
на новий рубіж завдяки появі нових тенденцій, які дозволяють говорити про перспективи
географії майбутнього і про майбутнє в географії випускників географічних спеціальностей.
У статті демонструється спроба дати відповідь на питання де і ким можуть працювати
випускники географічних спеціальностей, а також розглядається спектр професій
пов’язаних із вивченням географії. Представлені актуальні тренди, що допоможуть в близькому майбутньому змінити ставлення суспільства до географії, відійти від стереотипів і
підняти географів на новий перспективний рівень затребуваності у суспільстві.
The article reviews geographical directions − future professions for students of geographical specialties. It is important to get rid of a number of stereotypes about the professions of future specialists in the field of geography, which demonstrate a one-sided understanding of society of geography as a science and areas of its application. Today, geography is reaching a new frontier due to the emergence of new trends that allow us to talk about the prospects of the geography of the future and the future in the geography of graduates of geographical specialties. The article attempts to answer the question of where and by whom graduates of geographical specialties can work in the short and long term, and also considers the range of professions related to the study of geography. There is also a brief overview of the training of future geographers at Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko, which offers a wide range of knowledge based on the study of basic and elective disciplines related to the main areas, including the relationship not only with nature and society, as well as through the involvement of mathematical methods, GIS technologies and supported by practices. This will allow geographers to compete successfully in the labor market. Current trends presented in the article will help in the near future to change society's attitude to geography, move away from stereotypes and raise geographers to a new promising level of demand in society. Among them, the withdrawal from the use of «clean» territorial resources and the approach to the protection and management of land, water and territorial resources; expanding the scope of services towards geomarketing for planning and creating new business locations (shops, banks and other infrastructure facilities); digitization of a large number (arrays) of spatial data and geolocation (geoanalysis) and as a result − the need for customization of information.
