dc.description.abstractThe innovative way of economic development of Ukraine, based on the restructuring of the sectors of the national economy with the further growth of the share of high-tech enterprises in the structure of production and production is the only possible direction for the development of the economy of the country in the context of globalization of production, world markets and increased competition between producers. The urgent task for every industrial enterprise is to provide innovative activity that meets market requirements and consumer expectations, maintaining its high level is a prerequisite for increasing the competitiveness of the business entity. The purpose of the article is to determine the essence of innovation activity of light industry, identify the factors that impede the implementation and development of their innovation activities, as well as review the proposed approaches to eliminate them. I he main type of innovation for light industry is technological innovation through the creation and acquisition of machinery and equipment, as well as through research and development in the field of clothing, leather and raw materials processing technologies. As a result of technological innovations, enterprises have the opportunity to reduce taxable profit on the cost of equipment purchased, which also contributes to the innovation activity of enterprises. To a lesser extent, light industry organizations are focused on developing marketing and organizational innovations. To enhance the innovation activity of economic entities requires the management and coordination of the actions of all its entities, as well as the integration of all interested structures, including the state, in the implementation of innovations the formation of appropriate innovation infrastructure. The results of intensification of innovative activity of the enterprise will be improvement of financial condition and, ultimately, increase of competitiveness of the organization and its production.
