dc.description.abstractУ статті на основі узагальнення підходів вітчизняних і зарубіжних учених визначено особливості історіографії проблеми розвитку вищої освіти на території України в кінці ХІХ – на початку ХХ століття. Розкрито ступінь наукового розроблення обраної проблеми, окреслено найменш вивчені аспекти, що потребують поглибленої наукової рефлексії. Висвітлено специфіку імперської, радянської, сучасної історіографії щодо тематики, методологічної бази, характеру та наукового рівня досліджень, представлено динаміку історіографічних інтерпретацій проблеми. Виявлено відмінності в підходах західної історіографії від вітчизняної історіографічної традиції до розробки історії вищої школи.uk_UA
dc.description.abstractThe article presents generalization of the approaches of domestic and foreign scientists to the study of the higher education history in Ukraine in the late XIX – early XX century. The degree of scientific elaboration of the chosen problem is revealed, the least researched aspects that require in-depth scientific reflection are outlined. The specifics of imperial, Soviet, modern historiography are highlighted, the dynamics of historiographical interpretations of the problem are presented. The peculiarities of Western historiography of higher education development on the territory of Ukraine in the studied period, in comparison with the domestic one, are determined according to a number of criteria: methodological (polyparadigmality), thematic (breadth of problem-thematic range), stylistic (originality of the author’s style), evaluative (lack of categorical conclusions), which are conditioned primarily by continuity of scientific research freedom realization in Western Europe and America. It is determined that Soviet science ignores the European and national discourses of higher education development on the territory of Ukraine in the XIX – early XX centuries. Instead, in the modern historiography, much attention is paid to the Ukrainian dimension of educational phenomena, the state of higher education in Ukraine is compared with the processes in the European and world educational space. It is confirmed that under the influence of foreign historiography for Ukrainian science at the beginning of the XXI century it is important to shift the emphasis from the study of official documents and government policy in higher education, typical of imperial and Soviet historiography, to the study of the possibilities of self-realization of intellectuals aimed at reproducing the spiritual atmosphere of a certain era. The study shows the specifics of generalizing, specialized and narrowly explored works on the higher education development in Ukraine in the XIX – early XX century.uk_UA
