dc.description.abstractУ статті досліджено потенціал позаурочної діяльності з історії як ефективного засобу реалізації полікультурної освіти учнів. Розкрито сутність поняття «полікультурна освіта», визначено її структурні компоненти та обґрунтовано роль історичної освіти у формуванні полікультурної компетентності. Проаналізовано основні форми і методи позаурочної діяльності, що сприяють розвитку міжкультурної взаємодії, толерантності та громадянської свідомості учнів. Визначено педагогічні умови ефективної організації позаурочної роботи з історії в контексті полікультурного підходу.
dc.description.abstractThe article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations of extracurricular history activities as an effective means of implementing multicultural education among students. The relevance of the study is determined by contemporary sociocultural transformations, globalization processes, and the growing cultural diversity of society, which require the formation of students’ multicultural competence as an essential component of their personal and civic development. The essence of the concept of “multicultural education” is clarified, its structural components are characterized, and the role of history education in shaping students’ understanding of cultural diversity and intercultural interaction is substantiated. It is emphasized that history as an academic discipline provides significant opportunities for developing critical thinking, overcoming stereotypes, and fostering respect for different cultures and traditions. The article analyzes the main forms of extracurricular history activities, including project-based work, history clubs, thematic events, excursions, debates, and interactive practices, which promote active student engagement in research and communicative activities. Particular attention is paid to the methods that ensure the integration of cognitive, value-based, and activity-oriented components of multicultural education. The pedagogical conditions for the effective organization of extracurricular history activities are identified, including the implementation of a competency-based approach, the use of interactive and research methods, the creation of a tolerant educational environment, and the integration of interdisciplinary content. It is concluded that extracurricular history activities contribute to the development of students’ intercultural competence, tolerance, civic awareness, and readiness for constructive interaction in a multicultural society.
