Анотація
У статті проаналізовані статистичні дані щодо швидкості інтернетизації сучасного українського суспільства. Розглянуто теоретичні положення щодо визначення Інтернет-залежності. Визначено базові передумови виникнення й основні типи Інтернет-залежності згідно з дослідженнями К. Янг. З’ясовано коло потреб, які підлітки задовольняють за допомогою Інтернету. Проаналізовано критерії діагностики Інтернет-залежності згідно з Р. Тао. Розглянуто поняття М. Гріффітса «технологічна залежність». Відзначено, що основним механізмом розвитку Інтернет-залежності є зміщення мети у віртуальну реальність для заповнення відсутніх сфер життя особистості. Розглянуто психологічні та фізичні симптоми Інтернет-залежності, а також важливі ознаки, які допоможуть учителям і батькам діагностувати комп’ютерну залежність дитини. Визначено деякі шляхи профілактики й корекції Інтернет-залежності підлітків.
The statistics on the speed of the Internet of modern Ukrainian society: the number of regular Internet users has increased by 7 % by the end of 2019 to 22.96 million are analyzed in the article. The most active Internet users in Ukraine are adolescents and young people, 97 % of whom are Internet users between the ages of 15 and 24. The growth of Internet in society, the maximum, almost instantaneous and uncontrolled accessibility of the global information network, create a significant psychological and pedagogical problem: formation of psychological Internet addiction in children and adolescents. The various aspects study of this problem is relevant and vital in the context of the challenges facing the field of education and upbringing: the formation of the healthy personality, ensuring its harmonious physical and psycho-emotional development. Theoretical provisions concerning determination of Internet addiction have been considered. The author of the concept of “Internet addiction” (Internet addiction disorder) is considered A. Goldberg. He understood the Internet addiction as the behavior disorder as a result of the Internet and computer use, which have a negative impact on the everyday, educational, social, work, family, financial or psychological spheres of human activity. Clinical psychologist K. Young and psychiatrist I. Goldberg are the first initiators of the psychological study of the Internet addiction phenomena. The basic prerequisites and main types of Internet addiction are identified in the article, according to K. Young’s research. The adolescents’ needs to be met through the Internet have been identified. The diagnostics criteria of Internet addiction according to R. Tao have been analyzed. The M. Griffiths’ concept of “technological dependence” has been considered. It is noted that the main mechanism for the Internet addiction development is to shift the goal into virtual reality to fill in the missing areas of the individual’s life. The range of needs that adolescents meet through the Internet has been identified. The psychological and physical symptoms of Internet addiction have been examined, as well as important features that will help teachers and parents diagnose a child’s computer addiction (loss of time control over the computer; loss of interest in social life; indifference to family contacts; study, school and extra-curricular activities; disrespect for appearance, homework; eating at the computer; the advantage of virtual communication over real; changing typical adolescent behavior; (irritability, indifference others, stealth), nightmares, fear bouts of, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder; denial of computer dependency conflicts). Behavioral techniques for Internet addiction treatment (reasonable time use offline; use of external stop signals; goal setting; refrain from using the Internet in special cases; use of a reminder card; writing your own problems list; participating in a support group; use of family therapy). Some ways of prevention and correction of teenagers’ Internet addiction have been identified.
