Анотація
Мета статті: дослідити, як протягом другої половини 40-х - 80-х рр. ХХ ст. у підручниках і навчальних посібниках з іноземної мови реалізовувався зміст іншомовної освіти у вищих аграрних навчальних закладах України. Методи дослідження: теоретичний аналіз, порівняння та узагальнення джерел. Результати дослідження: розкрито навчальне й виховне спрямування змісту підручників та посібників із іноземної мови досліджуваного періоду. Практичне значення: дослідження, на основі історичного досвіду, дозволяє виявити шляхи вдосконалення навчальної літератури з іноземної мови, що використовується при підготовці фахівців у закладах вищої освіти аграрного профілю. Висновки та перспективи подальших наукових розвідок: установлено, що як засіб реалізації змісту іншомовної освіти у вищих аграрних навчальних закладах України підручники й посібники з іноземної мови протягом досліджуваного періоду у своєму розвиткові пройшли два етапи, які мали свої характерні особливості. Подальшого вивчення потребує аналіз структурних компонентів підручників та посібників із іноземної мови, що використовувалися у вищих аграрних навчальних закладах України.
The aim of the article is to investigate how the content of a foreign language education was implemented in textbooks and methodological manuals on a foreign language in higher agricultural education institutions of Ukraine during the second half of the 40's - 80's of the twentieth century. Research methods: theoretical analysis, comparison and generalization of sources. Results: the educational directions of the content of textbooks and methodological manuals on a foreign language of the studied period have been revealed. Practical significance: the study, based on historical experience, makes it possible to identify ways of improving the educational literature on a foreign language, which is used in training specialists in institutions of higher education of the agricultural profile. Conclusions and prospects for further research: it has been found out that as a means of realizing the content of foreign language education in higher agrarian education institutions of Ukraine textbooks and methodological manuals on a foreign language during the period under study underwent two stages in their development, both having their peculiarities. The first stage covers the second half of the 1940's - 50's. It was characterized by the fact that textbooks and tutorials focused on the development of the ability to read and master knowledge of grammar. The educational material used in agrarian higher education institutions of Ukraine was represented by grammatical constructions, overloaded with rules and explanations. Texts selected for textbooks and tutorials were to cultivate a sense of love for the homeland, devotion to the ideas of internationalism, solidarity with the working and oppressed peoples of the world. At the second stage, which covered the 60's - 80's, the educational material was subordinated to the task of practical language acquisition that was understood as comprehensive reading of special literature and oral communication on professional topics, the amount of theoretical information on grammar and linguistics being reduced. Instead, lexical material and texts for reading borrowed from foreign scientific and technical literature tended to increase in volume. Educational material in foreign languages of the 1960's - 1980's contained useful information on scientific and technological innovations and achievements abroad, however, it did not make it possible to prepare students-agrarians for intercultural communication. Further research will be aimed at analyzing of the structural components of foreign language textbooks and tutorials that were used in higher agricultural education institutions of Ukraine.
