Анотація
Мета статті полягає у виявленні теоретичного підґрунтя ефективності використання електронних словників на заняттях з англійської мови. Методи дослідження: аналіз, систематизація тощо. Результати дослідження: з'ясування засад, переваг, недоліків використання електронних словників, розкриття класифікації електронних словників. Практичне значення дослідження: методичні поради використання електронних словників. Висновок: ефективність упровадження електронних словників ґрунтується на обізнаності, досвіді, системності їх використання. Перспективи подальших наукових розвідок полягають у вивченні питань інтеграції електронних словників для різного контингенту користувачів.
In the article the theoretical underpinnings of efficiency of using electronic dictionaries at English lessons are shown. The complex of theoretical methods was drawn in the research: comparative analysis of pedagogical, linguistic sources with the purpose of determination of the state of developed research problem; analysis of didactical sources as for the integration of electronic dictionaries to the process of English study; systematization of different approaches as for classification of modern electronic dictionaries. As we know traditionally language learners use electronic dictionaries simply as a reference source. But modern possibilities allow an English teacher to use electronic dictionaries for working out new forms of classroom activities. Besides, many modern electronic dictionaries have their own devices for individual language learning. The basic results of the article are determination the historical bases of using electronic dictionaries, the advantages and disadvantages of using electronic dictionaries, classification electronic dictionaries, methodological recommendations of their usage. Also we recommend some kinds of games with electronic dictionaries, because it makes language learning easier and more efficient. We give methodological recommendations, the examples of exercises with electronic dictionaries for forming pronunciation skills, vocabulary usage and grammar points, and also for teaching speech activities. So, the usage of electronic dictionaries is not just possible, it is essential in the English learning process, because they are useful for working out various kinds of activities. They give a teacher a great environment for classroom creativity. And students, in their turn, get motivated and interested in the learning process and in learning English in the whole. The conclusion of the paper shows that the efficiency of using electronic dictionaries at English lessons is the result of the teacher's awareness, experience, system usage as well as student's motivation and interest.
