Анотація
У статті здійснено аналіз сучасного забезпечення соціокультурної адаптації міжнародних студентів в університетах України. Висвітлено сутність та особливості процесу. Встановлено три основні рівні соціокультурної адаптації міжнародних студентів в Україні. Представлено проблеми та бар’єри (мовні, релігійні, культурні) соціалізації іноземців та запропоновано шляхи їх вирішення з метою підвищення привабливості українських університетів на міжнародній арені.
The article focuses on the analysis of modern scientific approaches to providing socio-cultural adaptation of international students in universities of Ukraine. It views on the essence and peculiarities of socio-cultural adaptation process. Three levels of social and cultural adaptation of international students in Ukraine have been defined. The level of contact and shock – a definite number of social factors makes the individuals choose some set of structural acts which are realized in the process of integration. It is the primary level of interaction. Integration of international students into studying in Ukraine foresees the task of efficient training of the specialists and has to include confidence in behavior models and system of values and norms which will serve as stimulus in the process of gaining knowledge. The organizational level is deeper connected with socialization. At this level forming and changing of individual world vision is taking place. The definite values and evaluative thinking appear. A student feels necessity of successful socialization and so he looks for the ways to achieve maximum success in the society. The third level is the highest one – confident. At this level the compulsory moral conceptions connected with the level of society are considered. It implies the life aims and directions formed or being formed, the efforts to gain some social status, aspiration for professional training as a principal aim. The language, cultural and religious problems and barriers of international student’s adaptation to the socio-cultural environment of Ukrainian society with its peculiarities of traditions, customs and culture are revealed. The ways of overcoming the language, religious, cultural differences have been proposed to improve the quality of international student study at universities of Ukraine. Organization of professional pedagogical communication with international students requires teachers to improve psychological and pedagogical readiness and sufficient theoretical knowledge in the context of ethno-psychology and ethno-pedagogy. Elaboration of adaptation programs for international students with special emphasis on the most different features which outline them from Ukrainian population will make it possible fully provide the high level of skills and knowledge received by foreigners in universities of Ukraine.
