Анотація
У статті коротко викладена історія виникнення перекладацької справи та її основні етапи її розвитку.
The article summarized history of the translation and the main stages of its development. We consider translation activities as part of the pedagogical process. Therefore, its emergence and development,in our view, is closely linked to the development of pedagogical science. Our vision of the stages of development of translation studies in scientific and educational value of the proposed in this form: • The first stage - from the earliest civilizations of Mesopotamia, appeared about 5 thousand years before the arrival of the Phoenician alphabet - XV century BC. This period can be called "syncretic communication", when the translation was solely by means of verbal communication between people and peoples. • The second stage - from the XV century BC, when there was one of the first recorded in human history, systems of phonetic writing, which went to Greek alphabet, and the Cyrillic and subsequently Latin - before the advent of Judaism and Christianity - XIII century. to D. E. This phase was characterized by the expansion of the translation in the lives of people and sprav the spread between civilizational experience. It can be called "syncretic and information". • The third stage - from the thirteenth century. to B. E. to the seventh century. to ad, when religion was the basis of existence of people and the translation was a means of spreading religious traditions. It can be called "syncretic-Orthodox". • The fourth stage, in our opinion, lasted from the seventh century. to ad to the XI century, during which there was not only the first scientific discoveries and knowledge about the world, and their application in people's lives. The translation in this period became the means of spreading not only religious canons, and research and theoretical knowledge. It can be called "Orthodox-secularization".
