dc.description.abstractУ статті актуалізовано зростання ролі вчителя іноземних мов у середовищі інтегрування сучасної освіти в європейський освітній простір, що передбачає наближення та перетин різних культур. Метою є з’ясування теоретичного підґрунтя формування міжкультурної компетентності майбутніх учителів англійської мови. Методологія включає аналіз нормативних документів та лінгводидактичних публікацій, дедукцію і конкретизацію. Отримані результати дозволили виявити, що формування міжкультурної компетентності майбутніх учителів англійської мови відбувається з урахуванням сучасних парадигм (когнітивна, особистісно орієнтована, функціоналістична, культурологічна та компетентнісна) і тенденцій розвитку освітньої системи України (орієнтування на особистість, її компетентісний розвиток та інформаційне забезпечення; формування фахівця, здатного конкурувати на міжнародному ринку праці; цифровізація). Перспективами подальших наукових розвідок є дослідження психолінгвістичних чинників реалізації міжкультурної компетентності.
dc.description.abstractThe article updates the growth of the role of the foreign language teacher in the environment of the integration of modern education into the European educational space, which involves the convergence and crossing of different cultures. The essence of the concept of «intercultural competence», normative documents regulating the educational process in Ukraine and Europe and demonstrating the need for the formation of intercultural competence of future teachers of the English language, is analyzed. The goal is to clarify the theoretical basis of the formation of intercultural competence of future teachers of the English language. The methodology includes the analysis of regulatory documents and linguistic didactic publications, deduction and specification. The obtained results made it possible to reveal that the formation of intercultural competence of future English language teachers takes place taking into account modern paradigms (cognitive, personality-oriented, functionalist, cultural and competence-based) and trends in the development of the educational system of Ukraine (orientation on the individual, its competent development and information support; unification of requirements for the levels of mastery of foreign language communicative competence in the formation of a specialist capable of competing on the international labor market; digitization). Intercultural competence is closely related to foreign language communicative competence. They both complement the professional development of philologists and allow effective interaction with representatives of another culture. Foreign language communicative competence provides the technical side (knowledge of the language) and intercultural – the content side (understanding the context). We can summarize that the training of future teachers of the English language is an important component of the modernization of modern education. The presence of intercultural competence in the learner provides him with the ability to maintain interaction, express his feelings and attitudes, overcome obstacles that may occur during travels, talk with representatives of other cultures, argue his own views, not create conflicts, treat representatives of other cultures tolerantly, solve personal and professional tasks in the conditions of a culturally diverse society. Prospects for further scientific research are the study of psycholinguistic factors in the implementation of intercultural competence.
