Анотація
У статті розкрито сутність поняття «читацька самостійність» молодших школярів. Розглянуто низку сучасних підходів до вирішення проблеми формування читацької самостійності учнів. Установлено залежність ефективного формування читацької самостійності молодших школярів від урахування їх вікових та індивідуальних особливостей, взаємозв’язку між реальними можливостями учнів і вимогами, які ставить перед ними суспільство. Методологічну основу становлять теорії самоаналізу і розвитку особистості. Проведена дослідна робота засвідчила, що сформована читацька самостійність сприяє становленню інтересу учнів до книжки, формує вміння повноцінного сприймання літературних творів.
The article reveals the essence of the concept of “reading independence” of junior schoolchildren. A number of modern approaches to solving the problem of forming pupils’ reading independence were considered. The dependence of the effective formation of reading independence of junior schoolchildren on taking into account their age and individual characteristics, the relationship between the real possibilities of pupils and the requirements that society sets before them are established. The methodological basis is the theory of introspection and personality development. The conducted research has proved that the formed reading independence contributes to the formation of pupils’ interest in books, forms the ability to fully perceive literary works. The reading independence of junior schoolchildren is considered as a persistent need for reading and the ability to consciously choose books of different themes and genre forms. The problem of forming junior schoolchildren’s reading independence becomes especially urgent in the era of computerization. The uncontrolled process of viewing various computer materials by children, their fascination with computer games inhibits their intellectual, speech and creative development. An antidote to this phenomenon can be involvement of pupils in the practical use of Internet resources, in particular web quests. In order to increase the level of formation of reading independence of junior schoolchildren, extracurricular reading lessons and special lessons using Internet resources are held. Pupils’ reading independence is formed in the process of reading activity during direct interaction with children’s books. The main skills of pupils’ reading independence are the ability to navigate in the book space and choose works for reading according to their preferences; the ability to fully perceive a work of art and read it correctly, consciously and expressively; to understand and reproduce the content of the read works, to express one’s attitude to those that have been read, to learn the best and most valuable from it. The issue of studying the purpose, content, methods and forms of implementation of reading independence in lessons of different types and different subject orientations in primary school requires further study.
