Анотація
Мета статті – схарактеризувати сучасні методи навчання іноземної мови курсантів у вищих військових навчальних закладах України. Для досягнення мети дослідження використовувалися такі методи дослідження: аналіз, синтез, узагальнення, компаративний та прогностичний. Значну увагу було приділено розкриттю таких методів навчання іноземної мови, як інтерактивні лекції, обговорення, дискусії, кейс-метод, метод проєктів, інтерв’ю, «акваріум», диспути/дебати, рольові та ділові ігри, внутрішні/зовнішні кола та інші. У статті обґрунтовано те, що перспективним на сучасному етапі є також упровадження комп’ютерних технологій, що сприятиме підвищення ефективності іншомовної професійної підготовки майбутніх офіцерів.
Due to the significant enlargement of international military cooperation, partnership with international organizations, necessity of solving the tasks on the implementation of international treaties and programs, the need for training officers in foreign language professional communication is relevant, which directly affects the quality of service. Foreign language training of cadets of higher military education institutions of Ukraine is an important component of their effective performance of official duties. Therefore, it is necessary to consider modern methods of teaching foreign languages to future officers, in particular these methods’ usage in the Ukrainian military educational realities. The purpose of the article is to characterize modern methods of teaching a foreign language to future officers in higher military education institutions of Ukraine. To achieve the goal of the study, the following research methods were used: analysis, synthesis, generalization – to study educational programs and curricula of cadets’ training; comparative – to identify similar and different approaches to foreign language training of future officers; prognostic – to substantiate ways of progressive ideas usage in online learning. Considerable attention was paid to the disclosure of the following methods of teaching a foreign language: interactive lectures, discussions, case studies, project method, interviews, “aquarium”, debates, role and business games, internal/external circles and others. The classification of these methods is given: methods of individualized teaching and learning (interaction of one cadet with one teacher or one subject of study with another subject); teaching methods through the interaction of subjects of study (self-study) with educational resources; methods that are characterized by active interaction between all participants in the educational process, etc. The article substantiates that introduction of computer technologies is also perspective at the present stage, which will increase the efficiency of foreign language training of future officers. Under the conditions of the COVID-19 spread, modern information and telecommunications technologies have become extremely relevant, namely: online platforms and databases (MOODLE, Wiki, and other), computer programs and mobile applications, various multimedia Internet resources. The most used resources in the period of forced transition of higher military education institutions of Ukraine to online training were such platforms and programs as Zoom, Skype, Google Classroom (Forms), Google Meet, BigBlueButton – software product for video conferencing with native speakers, etc.
