Анотація
У статті розглянуто перспективи розвитку кемпінгового туризму із використанням автобудинків на території Подільського туристичного регіону. Проаналізовано сутність поняття «кемпінг» у контексті сучасного екологічного туризму, охарактеризовано стан кемпінгової інфраструктури в Україні та визначено її відсутність у межах досліджуваного регіону. Наголошено на потенціалі Поділля для організації кемпінгів на базі природно-рекреаційних ресурсів та історико-культурних об’єктів. Виявлено основні проблеми розвитку кем- пінгового туризму, серед яких – відсутність інфраструктури, відсутність відповідних зако- нодавчих ініціатив та інші перешкоди. У статті вказуються конкретні кроки для створення умов для розвитку кемпінгів на Поділлі, що включають як удосконалення інфраструктури, так і створення відповідного правового середовища для ефективного функціонування цієї галузі. Зроблено висновки щодо важливості створення нових видів туристичних послуг та забезпечення сталого розвитку туризму в регіоні.
This article examines the prospects for the development of camper-van camping tourism in the Podillia tourism region of Ukraine. The relevance of this topic is driven by the growing demand for sustainable, mobile, and nature-oriented forms of recreation, which have gained popularity across many European countries but remain significantly underdeveloped in Ukraine. The study emphasizes that camper-van tourism represents not only a contemporary lifestyle trend but also a potential catalyst for local economic development, sustainable territorial planning, and environmental conservation. The objective of this research is to explore the regional potential of Podillia for the implementation and expansion of camper-van tourism. The methodology involves a comparative analysis of European practices and the current state of infrastructure in Ukraine. Identifies a number of critical challenges, including the absence of formal camping infrastructure, regulatory frameworks, and public awareness. The research findings suggest that this form of tourism, if properly regulated and supported, can contribute to reducing environmental damage caused by uncontrolled parking and spontaneous camping, which are currently common due to a lack of designated sites. The article highlights the unique characteristics of the Podillia region, such as the Dniester Canyon, national parks, and historical towns, as assets for the creation of sustainable camper-van routes and designated camping areas. The study outlines strategic recommendations, including the development of pilot camping zones through public- private partnerships, the integration of eco-friendly practices, the promotion of community- based tourism models, and investment in soft infrastructure such as water, waste, and energy systems. Ultimately, the findings underline the importance of incorporating camper-van tourism into Ukraine’s broader tourism policy and regional planning agenda. The article concludes that a coordinated effort among stakeholders, including government authorities, private entrepreneurs, and local communities, is essential to unlocking the full potential of camper-van tourism in Podillia and promoting long-term sustainable development in the region.
