dc.description.abstractThe purpose. The article examines the circumstances of the establishment, specific of the missionary activity and spiritual and cultural acquisition of Roman Catholic order of the Trinitarians on the territory of Volyn during the end of the 17th - the first half of the 19th century. Scientific novelty. The article is an attempt of analytical generalization of factual material in history, essence, direction and effectiveness of the activities of the Roman Catholic Order of Trinitarians on the lands of Volyn in the end of the 17th - the first half of the 19th century. The research methodology is based on the principles of science, historicism, systematicity. In the process of research work, it was used a number of general scientific (analysis, synthesis, systematization and generalization), as well as special scientific methods, in particular problemthematic, prosopography, chronological, and system-structural. Conclusions. Having outlined the circumstances of the foundation of the Trinitarian order in France, it is noted that it arose from the initiative of John’s de Mafa and Felix de Valois religious ascetics. It is emphasized, that as a leading direction of his activity was the redemption of Christian captives from Muslim captivity, it turned out to be so urgent that in a short time it spread not only in Europe, but also in Asia, North Africa and America. It is shown, that the struggle against the Ottoman Empire actualized the idea of organized and systematic redemption of captives from thralldom in noble magnate environment of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. It is emphasized, that one of the effective socially significant spheres of activity of the Order of Trinitarians in Volyn was educational sphere. It was created an extensive network of educational institutions by its representatives: parochial schools of elementary level, gymnasiums, as well as philosophical and theological studios for preparing order monasticism. It has been established, that the Trinitarians in Volyn played a notable role also in the promotion and establishment of cultural and artistic achievements of Western civilization. The creative achievement of the artist-trinitarian Yosif Prehtlia is a striking example of preservation in artistic visions of the European Baroque. It is concluded, that a qualitative acquisition of that time work of the Trinitarian order in Volyn – is the inclusion of its autochthonous population in the European humanitarian space, notable contribution to its high culture, as well as everyday culture.uk_UA
dc.description.abstractМета статті – дослідити обставини заснування, специфіку місіонерської діяльності та духовно-культурні надбання римо-католицького ордену тринітаріїв на теренах Волині кінця ХVІІ – першої половини ХІХ ст. Наукова новизна. Стаття є спробою аналітичного узагальнення фактологічного матеріалу з історії, сутності, спрямованості й результативності діяльності римокатолицького ордену тринітаріїв на землях Волині кінця ХVІІ – першої половини ХІХ ст. Методологія дослідження ґрунтується на принципах науковості, історизму, системності. У процесі дослідницької роботи використовувалася низка як загальнонаукових (аналізу, синтезу, систематизації й узагальнення), так і спеціально-наукових методів, зокрема проблемно-тематичний, просопографічний, хронологічний, а також системноструктурний. Висновки. Окресливши обставини заснування ордену тринітаріїв у Франції, зазначено, що він виник з ініціативи релігійних подвижників Іоана де Мафи і Фелікса де Валуа. Наголошено, що оскільки провідним напрямом його діяльності був викуп християнських полонених із мусульманського полону, він виявився настільки нагальним, що за нетривалий час набув значного поширення не лише в Європі, а й Азії, Північній Африці й Америці. Показано, що боротьба з Османською імперією актуалізувала ідею організованого і систематичного викупу бранців із неволі й у шляхетсько-магнатському середовищі Речі Посполитої. Підкреслено, що однією з результативних соціально значимих сфер діяльності ордену тринітаріїв на теренах Волині була освітньо-виховна. Його представниками була створена розгалужена мережа навчальних закладів: парафіяльні школи елементарного рівня, гімназії, а також філософські і теологічні студії для підготовки орденського чернецтва. Встановлено, що тринітарії на Волині відігравали помітну роль також у пропагуванні й утвердженні культурно-мистецьких набутків західної цивілізації. Творчий доробок художника-тринітарія Йосифа Прехтля є яскравим прикладом вкорінення у вітчизняний художній ґрунт мистецьких візій європейського бароко. Підсумовано, що якісний набуток тогочасної праці ордену тринітаріїв на Волині – це долучення її автохтонного населення до європейського гуманітарного простору, помітний внесок у його високу культуру, а також культуру повсякденності.uk_UA
