У статті здійснено історико-педагогічний аналіз модернізації осередків післядипломної освіти музично-педагогічних кадрів у 60-ті–90-ті роки ХХ століття. З’ясовано, що осередками післядипломної освіти музично-педагогічних кадрів у досліджуваний період були обласні інститути удосконалення кваліфікації вчителів, районні (міські) методичні кабінети, Центральний інститут удосконалення вчителів Міністерства освіти УРСР та педагогічні інститути. Виокремлено три етапи розвитку післядипломної освіти вчителів музики та співів. Означено функції осередків післядипломної педагогічної освіти та охарактеризовано процес їх модернізації на кожному з визначених етапів.
In the article the historical-pedagogical analysis of modernization of centers of post-graduate education of musical-pedagogical staff in the 60–90ies of the XX century is carried out. The results of analysis of archival materials show that the main sources of improving the skills of teachers of music and singing were regional institutes of professional development. At the beginning of the period under study, these were primarily regional centers, consisting of a teaching and methodological office, the number of which increased over the years, and some opened aesthetic education offices. In the 1990s, there appeared higher education institutions in which new departments were opened, the teaching staff was formed, educational and thematic plans for improving the qualification of musical and pedagogical staff were improved. The introduction in the 1970s of the documentary and post-curriculum system of training students of advanced training courses significantly increased the role of district and city methodological cabinets, as well as expanded their scope of activities. The leading role in postgraduate education was played by the Central Institute for the Improvement of Teachers’ Qualifications, which, in the process of modernization, acquires the status of the main educational and scientific-methodological center for the continuous improvement of the skills of the leading educational staff and the scientific coordination center of post-graduate education institutions. After the discovery, in the 60ies of the last century, in the pedagogical institutes of musical-pedagogical faculties, courses for improving the skills of teachers of music and singing of comprehensive schools began to work. In the 90ies of the XX century, their mission in postgraduate education was to retrain teachers and conduct their professional development, including musical and pedagogical staff. As the result of research on the development of the system for improving the skills of musical-pedagogical staff and modernization of their postgraduate education centers, three stages were identified: 1) 1960–1974; 2) 1974–1991; 3) 1991–1999.
