dc.description.abstractУ статті розглянуто основні демографічні показники, які впливають на відтворення населення Сумської області: чисельність населення, народжуваність, смертність, природний приріст (скорочення) населення. Встановлено місце Сумської області у загальнонаціональному вимірі за окремими демографічними показниками. Депопуляція стала характерною особливістю демографічної ситуації в Сумській області, у якій спостерігається низький рівень народжуваності, високий рівень смертності, природне скорочення, що і викликають загальне скорочення чисельності населення. Чисельність населення за період 2000-2020 років скоротилася на 9,3%, у т.ч. міське – на 6,3%, а сільське – на 15,4%. У розрізі адміністративно-територіальних одиниць найбільше населення проживає у м. Суми та Сумському районі, а найменша чисельність реєструється у Роменському районі. В області найменший коефіцієнт народжуваності фіксувався на за підсумками 2020 р. – 5,7 на 1000 осіб. За 1995-2020 роки рівень фертильності знизився на 31,3%. Рівень смертності населення за останні 20 років знизився на 1,1%. Основними причинами смертності населення у 2020 році були хвороби системи кровообігу, новоутворення та COVID-19. Природний приріст в області є від’ємним. Найвище природне скорочення населення характерно для жителів сільської місцевості.uk_UA
dc.description.abstractThe main demographic indicators affecting the reproduction of the population of Sumy region: the number of population, fertility rate, mortality, natural increase (decrease) of the population. The aim of the article is to study the demographic situation in the Sumy region before the military invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine on February 24, 2022. The observation covers the period from 2000 to 2021. This study analyzed the data of annual statistical reports of the Department of Statistics of the Sumy region. In the article a systems approach, comparative geographic, mathematical and statistics and other methods of scientific research were applied. All calculations and graphic images were obtained using Microsoft Excel 2010. By population the Sumy region ranks 22 among the regions of Ukraine. By fertility rate – 23rd place. By mortality rate – 4th place. In the Sumy region, there are a low fertility rate, a high mortality rate, a natural increase, which causes a general decline in the population. During 2000-2020 the population for decreased by 9.3%, urban population – by 6.3%, and rural population – by 15.4%. The number of urban in- habitants – 69.6%, rural – 30.4%. In terms of administrative-territorial districts of the region the largest population lives in Sumy and Sumy district, and the smallest number is registered in Romny district. Sumy district has the most settlements. The population is 440 618 people. In the region, the lowest fertility rate was recorded at the beginning of 2021 – 5.7 per 1000 people). The fertility rate of the urban population was 5.6 per 1000 people, and that of the rural population was 5.7 births per 1000 people. During 1995-2020, the fertility rate decreased by 31.3%. Over the past 20 years the mortality rate of the population has decreased by 1.1%. In 2021, the mortality rate of the population was 17.9 ‰. The main causes of death in 2020 were diseases of the circulatory system, neoplasms and COVID-19. The natural increase is negative in the region. A high natural decline in the population is typical for residents of rural areas.uk_UA
