Анотація
Нові тенденції, суперечності, виклики та ризики як невід’ємна частина сучасного життя, сприяють формуванню нової парадигми у світі менеджменту та лідерства. Лідерська поведінка знаходиться в центрі діяльності організації і є серйозною проблемою для дослідників і практиків, які зацікавлені у розумінні природи лідерства. Метою статті є висвітлення ключових аспектів лідерства і виокремлення рис, притаманні ефективним лідерам, а також дослідити вплив лідерства на організаційну діяльність. У статті застосовано такі методи дослідження: аналіз, синтез, порівняння, що дали змогу визначити філософську, психолого-педагогічну й соціологічну літературу для вивчення стану розробленості досліджуваної проблеми; термінологічний і структурно-логічний аналіз – для з’ясування ключових дефініцій та положень дослідження.
New trends, contradictions, challenges, and risks as integral parts of modern life contribute to the formation of a new paradigm in the fields of management and leadership. Organizations need leaders who can address new challenges and transform their structures to achieve a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Leadership behavior is central to organizational performance and poses a significant challenge for researchers and practitioners seeking to understand the nature of effective leadership. The purpose of the article is to highlight the key aspects of leadership, identify traits inherent to effective leaders, and explore the impact of leadership on organizational activities. The research methods applied in this article include analysis, synthesis, and comparison, enabling the identification of philosophical, psychological and pedagogical, and sociological references relevant to studying the development of the problem under investigation. Terminological, structural and logical analysis have been used to clarify key research definitions, while systematization and generalization of scientific findings provided a basis for their characterization. It has been established that, in modern dynamic environment, leaders have a profound impact on individual effectiveness, employee productivity, and the organization’s business outcomes – both positively and negatively. Success across various types of organizations can be achieved through a combination of effective leadership and sound management. This study is expected to provide organizational managers with a better understanding of leadership effectiveness and contribute to the growing knowledge of leadership’s impact on organizational performance. The paper also discusses the growing importance of leadership in fostering innovation, motivating employees, and aligning organizational goals with rapidly evolving market demands. Highlighting the link between leadership behavior and organizational outcomes, it stresses the need for leaders to adapt and grow in dynamic environments. Special attention is given to leadership role in addressing ethical challenges and enhancing organizational culture. Finally, the study advocates for leadership development as a critical investment, considering that ineffective leadership can lead to adverse outcomes for organizations. Further analysis is needed on the concept and characteristics of ineffective and destructive leadership.
