dc.description.abstractУ статті розглядаються соціально-економічні, демографічні й педагогічні чинники, що впливали на підготовку вчителя початкової школи Канади у другій половині ХХ століття (1950-1974 рр.). Після закінченні Другої світової війни еміграція до Канади дуже сильно зростала, оскільки ця країна мала великий ступінь свободи та економічне процвітання в порівнянні з Європою. Саме цей чинник зумовив увиразнення запитів держави на підготовку молоді до праці, що визначало професійну педагогічну освіту. Висвітлено вплив освітньої політики урядів провінцій на поступ системи професійно-педагогічної підготовки вчителя. Розкрито педагогічні чинники (особливості змісту підготовки).uk_UA
dc.description.abstractThe article deals with socio-economic and demographic factors that influenced development of Canadian educational sector in the second half of the twentieth century (1950-1974). In the context of addressing difficult issues of reforming education in Ukraine, Canada has a significant interest in teacher education. Demographic and socio-economic changes in the country are inextricably linked with development of the educational sector. After the end of the Second World War, emigration to Canada grew very much, as this country had a great degree of freedom and economic prosperity compared to Europe. It was in the postwar period that the country began a new phase of industrial development. The economic factor was characterized by an increase in financing. It also determined clarification of the state's requests for young people to work, which determined professional pedagogical education. Comparative analysis suggests that from 1960 to 1974, Canada's funding for education increased significantly: from $ 1,706 million in 1960 to $ 11 049 million in 1974 (at different levels of education). Demographic and socio-economic factors have also had a positive impact on development of the educational sector. After all, with increasing population in the country there was a need for quality children's education. In turn, it was necessary to train skilled specialists who would train students. In order to expand development of educational activities in the 1950s, involvement of NGOs and funding began. It was found out that in the 1950s and 60s of the twentieth century there was a significant expansion of universities, and in the 1970s and 80s there was a rapid increase in vocational pedagogical education in colleges funded by the provinces. The social factor for pedagogical education became apparent after the Second World War, when universities largely recruited teachers from abroad. An example of the province of Ontario, Canada, examines the process of primary school teachers training during 1950¬1974. Students with high school diplomas could teach students at school, having received a Temporary Certificate. In order to work as a teacher of primary school, it was necessary to get general education. Until the 1970s, universities initiated a variety of programs for development of vocational and pedagogical education. For this purpose, international educational centers and international development programs were established.uk_UA
