dc.description.abstractУ статті окреслено стратегічні пріоритети Європейського Союзу щодо професійної підготовки фахівців із міжнародного права в закладах вищої освіти.Здійснено огляд основних стратегічних документів, що регламентують підготовку означених фахівців. Висвітлено роль Ради адвокатів та юридичних товариств Європейського Союзу у юридичній освіті та професійній підготовці.Показано, що провідними європейськими стратегічними пріоритетами є впровадження міждержавної юридичної практики на основі оновленого загального кодексу поведінки, підготовка «інтегрованих» фахівців юридичної галузі, розроблення та впровадження загальноєвропейського мінімальногостандарту підготовки фахівців юридичної галузі й визнання спільних елементів національної професійної підготовки.
dc.description.abstractThe article outlines the strategic priorities of the European Union regarding the professional training of specialists in international law in higher education institutions. A review of the main strategic documents regulating the training of these specialists was carried out. The role of the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe in the process of law specialists’ education and professional training is highlighted. It is shown that the leading European strategic priorities are the implementation of interstate legal practice based on the updated general code of conduct, the training of “integrated” specialists in the legal field, the development and implementation of the European minimum standard of training specialists in the legal field, and the recognition of common elements of national professional training. It is argued that diversity in acquired legal knowledge, skills and competences is an advantage, but in the era of globalization it is necessary to avoid unnecessary barriers to free movement and the importance of promoting transparent mechanisms of education and professional training for specialists in the legal field, and, above all, in international law, in the EU. The introduction of the competence‐based approach made it possible to reach a consensus on at least some learning outcomes for all European legal professionals, which facilitates their recognition as lawyers throughout the European Economic Area with the help of EU directive mechanisms, as well as through the use of new methods. We see the prospects for further scientific research in the study of the national priorities of the EU countries in the professional training of specialists in international law in higher education institutions.
