dc.description.abstractСтаття розглядає основні положення, які необхідно враховувати у процесі використання методики формування англомовної професійно орієнтованої лексичної компетентності в говорінні майбутніх фахівців готельно-ресторанної справи. Описано характеристики, які підтверджують приналежність професійно орієнтованого дискурсу майбутніх фахівців готельно-ресторанної справи до інституційного ділового туристичного дискурсу. Визначено одиниці монологічного та діалогічного мовлення, які є найбільш поширеними в готельно-ресторанні справі. Виділено основні етапи формування визначеної компетентності: ознайомлення, автоматизації й застосування. Обґрунтовано ефективність застосування відеоматеріалів з подальшим використанням ділової гри та симуляції для успішного формування англомовної професійно орієнтованої лексичної компетентності в говорінні майбутніх фахівців готельно-ресторанної справи.uk_UA
dc.description.abstractThe article deals with the main postulates which are to be considered while applying the methodology of building English professionally oriented lexical competence in speaking of future specialists of hotel and catering business. Professionally oriented discourse of future specialists of hotel and catering business belongs to institutional business tourism discourse, because one of the parties is a representative of economic or social establishment and the participants of communication have business relations, possess etiquette and have an emotional and psychological impact on their partners. It has been found out that in hotel and catering business the most widespread kinds of monologues are notice, report, presentations (presentation-report and persuasive presentation), dialogues are presented by enquiry, arrangement, exchange of thoughts, impressions, discussion and argument. Each dialogue and monologue has its structure, purpose and a set of functional phrases. During communication the students acquire skills of dialogical and monological speech. Three stages of building English professionally oriented lexical competence in speaking of future specialists of hotel and catering business are outlined: introduction, automatization and production. Following the above mentioned stages the system of exercises and assignments should be presented. The effectiveness of application of video materials as well as role play and simulation while building English professionally oriented lexical competence in speaking of future specialists of hotel and catering business have been grounded. A role play provided a modeled situation that involves performing business roles, finding solution and making decisions. A role play encourages students to speak and use hotel and catering terminology, motivate them to study and organize their learning. Watching video materials facilitate creating a natural environment. Positive atmosphere, individual preparation of presentations, application of information and communication technologies foster students’ foreign language speaking activity. Simulation envisages students’ immersion into professional situations. Students shouldn’t adhere to any scenario. Students are free to experiment with lexical material, speaking models. The advantages of the simulation are: ignorance to students’ mistakes, scarce involvement of the students with lower level of English.uk_UA
