The article examines the impact of academic integrity on the professional image and career development of a researcher in the contemporary scientific and educational environment. Academic integrity is interpreted as a system of ethical principles and standards that ensure honesty, transparency, responsibility, and respect for intellectual property in research and academic activities. The study emphasizes that adherence to academic integrity is not only a moral requirement but also a strategic factor influencing professional reputation, competitiveness, and long-term career success. Research Methods. The study employed a set of methods to comprehensively assess the impact of academic integrity on a researcher’s career: literature review (analysis of national and international sources, publications, and academic integrity standards); content analysis (evaluation of publications for ethical compliance and trends in integrity practices); surveys and questionnaires (data collection on researchers’ attitudes toward academic integrity and its influence on professional image); comparative analysis (comparison of practices across universities and countries to identify effective approaches); and a systems approach (examination of the relationship between academic integrity, reputation, and career prospects). These methods ensured an objective assessment and provided a basis for practical recommendations. The paper analyzes how compliance with ethical norms contributes to building trust within the academic community, increasing citation rates, expanding opportunities for international cooperation, and enhancing access to grants and research funding. Particular attention is paid to the risks associated with violations of academic integrity, including reputational damage, loss of academic degrees, exclusion from professional networks, and restrictions on publication and mobility opportunities. In the context of digitalization and open science, academic integrity becomes increasingly significant, as modern technologies simultaneously create new challenges and provide effective tools for preventing and detecting misconduct. The article concludes that fostering a sustainable culture of academic integrity is a prerequisite for strengthening the professional image of researchers and ensuring the credibility and sustainable development of science at both national and global levels.
