dc.description.abstractМета статті: висвітлення теоретичних підвалин концепту «історична пам'ять» та обґрунтування доцільності ширшого використання потенціалу масових меморіальних заходів як одного із дієвих шляхів формування в дітей та молоді історичної пам’яті – складника національної самоідентифікації і питомого елемента сучасної політики національної безпеки України в умовах агресії рф та інформаційної війни. Відрефлексовано теоретичні положення щодо сутності, структури, функціонування і соціально‐політичної значущості формування історичної пам’яті, у першу чергу засобами освітньої сфери; висвітлено, як практичну аргументацію, результати досвіду проведення масових комеморативних заходів з ушанування історичних персоналій національного гуманітарного простору та аргументовано потребу розширення їх палітри для збереження нового режиму національної пам’яті.
dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the article is to highlight the theoretical foundations of the concept of "historical memory" and substantiate the feasibility of a wider use of the practical potential of mass memorial events as one of the effective ways in the field of education to form historical memory in Ukrainian children and youth. Historical memory is treated as a component of national self‐identification and an important element of the modern national security policy of Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression and information war. The study was carried out on the basis of a retrospective source analysis of Ukrainian and English texts, which represent modern international discourse in the field of explication of historical memory (or Memories). Interpretations of the concepts of historical memory, politics of historical memory, history as a myth, national History and self‐identification, meanings of memorial conferences (events) are summarized. A hermeneutical approach to the interpretation of selected texts is applied The theoretical basis of the study is the ideas about historical memory presented in the works of M. Halbwachs, Jan and Aleida Assmann, E. Gellner, A. Smith, J. Armstrong, which gives reason to interpret the past not as a stable given, but as a changing object to be interpreted. Theoretical provisions on the essence, structure, functioning, social and political significance of the formation of historical memory, primarily by means of the educational spheres, are substantiated. As a practical argument, the results of the author's experience regarding holding mass commemorative events to honour the historical personalities of the national humanitarian space are highlighted. The functions of the conferences (educational, didactic, popularizing, rallying) are outlined. It is substantiated that commemorative events not only realize the past for contemporaries as a symbolic image of the nation through the time, but also indirectly affirm the legitimization of Ukraine as a sovereign state. The need to expand the palette of memorial events in order to preserve the new regime of national memory is argued.
