dc.description.abstractСтаття присвячена проблемі впровадження європейських підходів до формування професійної компетентності студентів-перекладачів у процесі їхнього навчання у вищих навчальних закладах України. Компетентнісний підхід розглядається як перспективний і прогресивний для формування фахівця у сфері перекладу. Аналізуються підходи до тлумачення професійної компетентності вітчизняними й зарубіжними вченими. Досліджується структура професійної компетентності перекладача, розроблена експертною групою професійних перекладачів Європи та визначаються можливості зміни організації навчального процесу майбутніх перекладачів у вишах України з урахуванням європейського досвіду.uk_UA
dc.description.abstractThe article deals with the problem of the implementation of the European approaches of the translation department students professional competence formation during their study at higher educational institutions of Ukraine. Competence approach is considered as promising and progressive for the training of a specialist in the field of translation. The approaches to the professional competence definitions of Ukrainian and foreign scholars have been analyzed. The translator’s professional competence structure developed by an expert group of the European professional translators has been researched. The professional competence of a translator is represented as a set of competencies required to perform professional translation. The experts from the European Commission define the translator’s professional competence as the individual’s ability to perform his/her professional activity on the basis of the acquired professional competencies that contribute to the professional self-development and self-improvement. The professional competence is also regarded as the quality of the future professional that reflects the level of the integration into the professional work environment, as well as in different social environments, entry into which identifies the need to perform various social roles. Great attention is paid to the fact that any professional field is associated with the adjacent areas of professional activity through the integrated tendencies of modern civilization. By ’competency’ the experts mean the combination of aptitudes, knowledge, behavior and know how to carry out a given task under given conditions. The competencies proposed in six areas (translation provision service that includes language, thematic, intercultural, technological, information mining areas) are interdependent. The translator’s professional competence according to the European experts consists of translation service provision competency, language competency, intercultural competency, information mining competency, thematic competency, and technological competency. The prospects of future implementation of the European approaches to the formation of future translator’s professional competence in the process of their study in the universities of Ukraine have been considered. The following approaches have been proposed: the changes in the educational process of high school and the changes in the attitude of students towards learning (strengthening the role of self-education).uk_UA
