Анотація
Мета статті – визначити місце та роль літературного краєзнавства у формуванні професійної компетентності студентів філологічних спеціальностей. У статті розглядається процес сприймання художнього твору як необхідний етап художньої комунікації «автор - художній твір - читач». Особлива увага приділена ролі літературного краєзнавства у фаховій підготовці студента - майбутнього вчителя української мови і літератури. Застосування теоретичних та емпіричних методів наукового пошуку і глибоке опрацювання психолого-педагогічної, літературознавчої, методичної літератури з проблеми дослідження дозволило зробити низку переконливих висновків про пріоритетну роль літератури рідного краю у формуванні професійної компетентності студентів.
The aim of the article is to define the role and place of literature about one's native land in the development of professional competence of students majoring in philology. The study covers the discovery process of the nonfiction literature as a necessary step in methodological communication “teacher (professor) - author (composition) - reader (student)”. Special attention is devoted to the role of country study literature in the development of a student, the future teacher of Ukrainian language and literature. A number of reassuring conclusions was drawn about the role of the subject in the formation of student's professional competence based on the application of theoretical and empirical methods of scientific research and deep analysis of psychological-pedagogical literature. Practical application of the research lies in the ability of its results to be used during the design process of philology studies curriculum. The national curriculum for Ukrainian literature today includes patriotic literature classes, which explore the life and work of writers, fellow countrymen. These lessons play an important part in the educational process as they highlight the educational purpose in student's development of the sense of belonging to the history of their native land and civil responsibility as well as universal human qualities. Though the subject is taught as an extra-curricular reading, literature professors tend to be professionally ill-prepared for teaching the course due to the lack of material resources available for them to effectively formulate the lesson. A class on country study literature formulates professional competence in the student who is studying to become a teacher - the ability to develop a plan for the class and the ability to introduce the appropriate framework for the lesson. Professional competence is formulated during the process of analyzing the poetry while studying the text and determining its artistic value. Literature of the native land in this context is referred to as an active method of teaching that could help the future teacher develop the ability to work with the text and teach students an appreciation for creative writing and the heritage of comrade authors. The process of students' professional development does not stop here. The search for innovative teaching methods, that would enable students' ability to perform professional duties in the workplace, remains to be studied further.
