Анотація
Мета статті - проаналізувати передумови розвитку освіти з медичної інформатики. У роботі використано історико-генетичний метод у поєднанні з методами теоретичного опрацювання наукових фактів. З'ясовано, що розвиток освіти з медичної інформатики відбувався під впливом низки факторів, умовно поділених на зовнішні (соціальні, організаційно-економічні, технічні) та внутрішні, пов'язані з педагогічними чинниками розвитку освіти з медичної інформатики. Зроблено висновок про те, що ключовою передумовою розвитку освіти з медичної інформатики є інформатизація системи охорони здоров'я, яка не можлива без кваліфікованих кадрів. Подальші наукові розвідки передбачають вивчення особливостей розвитку освіти з медичної інформатики в Україні.
The article is aimed at analyzing preconditions for health informatics education development. The historic-and-genetic method as well as methods of theoretical fact processing have been used in the paper. In the course of our research, the notion of health informatics education is regarded as a broad term determining health informatics as an academic course for medical students and as a specialty of training competent health informatics workforce. It has been ascertained that there is a broad range of factors influencing the development of health informatics education. They have been divided into extrinsic preconditions related to the development of health informatics as a scientific discipline and intrinsic preconditions related to the development of health informatics education. Firstly, such an approach is justified by the fact that appearance of health informatics education is a logical consequence of computerization and informatization of medicine and healthcare system. Secondly, progress in the science of health informatics has a direct impact on determining the content of health informatics education. Thus, extrinsic preconditions related to the development of health informatics as a scientific discipline include social, economic, organizational, and technical ones. Speaking about intrinsic preconditions related to the development of health informatics education, we should mention the following: establishing first health informatics chairs in higher education institutions, introducing health informatics learning materials, developing health informatics model curricula, financing health informatics educational projects, working out quality assurance mechanisms for health informatics professional training etc. Taking the aforementioned into consideration, it has been concluded that the key precondition for the development of health informatics education is informatization of medicine and healthcare system. Its effective and efficient implementation demands qualified workforce that may function both as competent users of information and communication technologies in medicine and as developers and implementers of health informatics products into the healthcare system. Therefore, our further scientific inquiry consists in studying peculiarities of health informatics education development in Ukraine.
