Анотація
У статті йдеться про особливості використання системи автоматичного перекладу під час вивчення студентами-правниками німецької мови за професійним спрямуванням. Автор аналізує переваги та недоліки безкоштовного он-лайн сервісу перекладач-Google під час перекладу текстів юридичної тематики з німецької мови на українську. Підкреслюється важливість розуміння студентами поняття адекватного перекладу, знання лексико-граматичних та стилістичних особливостей німецької мови права, а також підготовчого етапу машинного перекладу та етапу його постредагування людиною.
The article focuses on the features of the machine translation in the use of German language for professional purposes by law students. The author analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of free online translator service Google by translation of legal texts from German into Ukrainian. It emphasizes the importance of students' understanding of adequate translation concept, their knowledge of lexical, grammatical and stylistic peculiarities of German law language as well as the preparatory phase of machine translation and the stage of its human post-editing. The article deals with the effectiveness of a machine translation of the German legal texts into the Ukrainian language, the main consideration of the difficulties encountered when using the free Google machine translator in the translation of educational professional literature by the law-students with the aim to determine the ways of machine translation use in the learning process. The author emphasizes that by working with programs of machine translation should be remembered that since these programs are still far from ideal, machine translation allows us to understand only in general features the original text, but they require you to be indispensable to edit the translated text. Machine translation can be viewed as an alternative to traditional one. However, we must not forget about the communicative equivalence of each text. First, computer translations serve as an auxiliary tool in the work of the translator to optimize the translation process, when it comes to large amounts of information. It is necessarily to edite the results of machine translation in order to prevent the penetration of errors in the final text. Time and labor for post-editing is one of the most important factors that should be considered by assessment the feasibility of machine translation. Due to the large number of highly specialized terminology and complex grammar of legal German language the machine translation is used as an auxiliary tool in the learning transfer. Therefore, teachers need to form a student's understanding of the importance of adequate professional translation of text to explain the basic lexical, grammatical and stylistic peculiarities of legal German language, to identify the main drawbacks of machine translation of legal text and pay attention to the «human factor» by teaching the basic techniques of interpreting on the post-editing stage the results of machine translation.
