    Speaking Club as a Tool of Foreign Language Communicative Competence Formation and Media Education Integration

    The article considers the issue of foreign language communicative competence, methods and strategies of its formation in the context of extracurricular activities and media education integration. The authors single out the discussion clubs as a type of extracurricular work. The article highlights various types of discussion: "The Gallery", "For or against strategy", "Whirligig", "The Socrates' Method": "Aquarium", "Hot Chair", "Speed English", "Quadro". It is pointed out that teachers of Foreign Philology Department use the opportunities and resources of the English-speaking club to integrate media education in the process of foreign language competence formation. English speaking club sessions with media education elements are provided as examples.
