    Development of Language Ability and Speech Activity

    The article reflects and analyzes such a phenomenon as language ability and components that affect language ability and speech activity. Language ability is considered in the article as one of the important constituents in the process of speech and learning a foreign language. Speech activity is realized on the basis of developed language ability. The article describes the constituents influencing the development of speech activity and factors (general intelligence, memory, logic, information processing speed, hearing) that contribute to the development of language ability. The purpose of the article is to identify the components of formation, structure and development of language ability. The practical importance of the study lies in the fact that understanding the components of the development of language ability allows us to improve the learning process. Knowing the peculiarities of the formation of language abilities will help to find the ways to effectively learn not only foreign languages, but also any educational material in general, and will be able to help eliminate problems that prevent from understanding and reproducing speech.

    Incorporating Telegram Messenger Into the Foreign Language Study Process to Improve Writing and Speaking Accuracy

    The study examines the possibilities of using the cross-platform Telegram Messenger in the process of foreign language teaching and learning in big mixed-ability classes at technical universities. It focuses on the ways Telegram can be used to improve students’ writing and speaking accuracy, facilitate language acquisition, individualize the learning process, and increase students’ motivation. This research has led to the conclusion that the application of Telegram Messenger for the foreign language study at universities helps to create a favourable learning environment for enhancing the management of large mixedability classes, increasing language acquisition, developing writing and speaking perfection. The results of this research may be applied for further studies into developing different language skills using various messengers during online and offline lessons.

    Особливості онлайн-навчання англійської мови професійного спрямування студентів технічних спеціальностей

    Мета статті – розкриття особливостей онлайн-навчання з використанням сучасних методів і технологій навчання англійської мови професійного спрямування студентів технічних спеціальностей. Методи дослідження: теоретичного аналізу, синтезу, індукції та дедукції, опису, систематизації та ін. У результаті дослідження встановлено, що для вивчення англійської мови професійного спрямування в режимі онлайн навчання доцільно використовувати проєктні роботи, «музичні діалоги», «реальну граматику», сторітелінг, комп’ютерні технології, відеоуроки, онлайн платформи, подкасти англійською мовою, онлайн-блоги, онлайн-журнали, онлайн вправи, електронні підручники та словники, додатки Skype, Viber, Telegram, Zoom, Messenger, Hangouts.
