Документ Libraries of Khmelnytskyi Region in Reconstruction in 1980s(2023) Prokopchuk Viktor; Hrytsenko Andriy; Прокопчук Віктор; Гриценко АндрійIn the presented article, the development of library affairs in the Khmelnytskyi region in the 1980s was analyzed on the basis of specific material, and a number of features of their development were determined. The authors drew attention to a number of stagnant phenomena in social life in the first half of the 1980s, the peculiarities of Soviet propaganda, and provided examples of the work of regional libraries in the conditions of the unfolding of perestroika, glasnost and socio-political transformations in the second half of the 1980s - democratization, revitalization of national life, renewal of book funds at the expense of previously banned literature, local history and Ukrainianlanguage publications, formation of national consciousness of its readers, strengthening of centrifugal processes that led to the collapse of the Soviet Union and the declaration of Ukraine’s independence. The purpose of this article is a thorough study of the history of library development in the Khmelnytskyi region at the end of the Soviet era in the 1980s, with the determination of the essential features of the development of libraries in the Khmelnytskyi region during the specified period with an analysis of their main components. In the process of working on the article, the authors used a number of methods of historical research, in particular: the method of periodization, historical-comparative and historical-systemic methods. Among the positive achievements of the development of the library system of the Khmelnytskyi region at that time, the development of the mechanism of interaction between trade union and branch libraries to meet the needs of readers was singled out. With the beginning of reconstruction and glasnost, books by previously banned authors were introduced to library collections, the regional and national component was strengthened, thanks to enlightenment, reader interest in oral folk art grew, libraries began to occupy their niche in the formation of the national consciousness of their readers.Документ Preservation of Historical and Cultural Monuments in the Conditions of War: the Role of Institutions of General Secondary Education(2024) Prokopchuk Viktor; Прокопчук Віктор; Hrytsenko Andriy; Гриценко АндрійThe goal of the work is to analyze the historical experience of preservation of monuments of history and culture in the conditions of war by teachers and students of institutions of general secondary education.The scientific novelty of this article is due to the fact that for the first time the study and presentation of the historical experience of preserving monuments of history and culture in general is carried out with a focus on the need to strengthen this work by history teachers, class teachers and students in cooperation with local historians of institutions of general secondary education precisely in conditions of the Russo-Ukrainian war.Methodology. In the process of working on the topic, biographical and chronological methods of historical research and the general scientific method of systematic analysis were used in the course of monument protection works and perpetuating the memory of the heroes who died in the war in order to create a collective portrait within the framework of the development of school local history.Conclusions. In the course of the research, it was found that a valuable experience of memorial protection work and the perpetuation of the historical memory of the heroes - defenders of the Motherland, who died in the modern war of Russia against Ukraine, is the initiative ofteachers and graduates institutions of general secondary education to make and install memorial boards in the conditions of celebrations, conducting research on the creation of a collective portrait of the dead. The authors also focused attention on the need to strengthen this area of school local studies, to master the tried and tested methods of historical and historical schoolworkand to develop forms adequate to the needs of the time in order to protect and preserve the national cultural heritage.
