Анотація
У статті акцентовано увагу на необхідності виховання громадянина нової формації, готового до життя у період швидкоплинних змін та міграцій у глобалізованому суспільстві, що потребує, у свою чергу, толерантної взаємодії з представниками різних мов, культур, релігій, рас тощо. Ці завдання вирішуються у процесі полікультурного виховання, засноване на загальнолюдських цінностях, повазі, розумінні, терпимості та ін.Проаналізовано педагогічні погляди видатного педагога Василя Олександровича Сухомлинського, які є вагомими та актуальними для сучасного полікультурного виховання дітей та молоді. Зауважено, що імплементація полікультурних ідей видатного педагога у практику роботи вітчизняних закладів освіти є першочерговим завданням сьогодення.
The author of the article has emphasized the need to educate a citizen of a new formation, ready to live in a period of rapid changes and migration in a globalized society, which, in its turn, requires tolerant interaction between representatives of different languages, cultures, religions, races, etc. These tasks are solved in the process of multicultural education, which is based on universal values, respect, understanding, tolerance, etc. The aim of the article is to substantiate the importance and relevance of V. Sukhomlynskyi's pedagogical views for the modern multicultural education of children and youth. Research methods: analysis, synthesis, generalization, systematization – to substantiate the initial theoretical positions; historical, pedagogical and actualization methods, which contributed to the identification of opportunities for the implementation of V. O. Sukhomlynsky's pedagogical views in the modern multicultural education of children and youth. Multicultural education is based on the following pedagogical principles: education of human dignity and high moral qualities; education for the coexistence of various social groups of different races, religions, and ethnicities; education of tolerance and readiness for mutual cooperation. When we study the postulates underlying multiculturalism, we find that their vision has been proposed in the well‐known works of Sukhomlynsky as early as the early twentieth century. We have analyzed the pedagogical views of the outstanding teacher Vasyl Oleksandrovych Sukhomlynskyi, which are important and relevant for the modern multicultural education of children and youth. We believe that his pedagogical work is an inexhaustible source for the modern multicultural education of children and youth, since it reveals the principles that underlie the phenomenon under research. It should be noted that the teacher's works are humanistic, based on the child's personality, values, spiritual world, respect, humanism, tolerance, morality, patriotism, respect, and other virtues. In this context, V. Sukhomlynsky advises to educate the younger generation. We highly appreciate his guidance for teachers on how to educate children and young people who are now getting a new lease on life. We are convinced that the implementation of the multicultural ideas of the outstanding teacher in the practice of national educational institutions is a priority task nowadays.
