Проаналізовано труднощі працевлаштування ветеранів в Україні, оцінено бар'єри входження на ринок праці та виявлено важливі аспекти адаптації ветеранів війни в цивільну працю на конкурентному ринку. Підтверджено досвідом розвинутих країн доцільність розробки та впровадження спеціалізованих програм, спрямованих на забезпе- чення працевлаштування і стимулювання самозайнятості ветеранів. Запропоновано практичні рекомендацій для ефективного залучення ветеранів до ринку праці та сприяння їх соціальній інтеграції.The relevance of the study is due to the aggravation of the situation in the labor market related to the consequences of the war, the relocation of qualified specialists abroad, the growing number of veterans who need to adapt to new economic realities, and the need to develop effective mechanisms for their employment through retraining and development of modern skills. The status of war veterans, the guarantees of their social protection in Ukraine and the importance of their integration into the labor market are defined. The difficulties of socialization and employment of veterans in Ukraine are identified, barriers to entering the labor market are assessed, and important aspects of adaptation of war veterans to civilian labor in a competitive market are identified. The number of registered, employed veterans and those who are still unemployed, people with disabilities who are able to work fully on an equal footing with others is analyzed. The author identifies how the current situation is influenced by the lack of a comprehensive approach to removing barriers that limit their ability to live a full life and integrate into society. The author analyzes the categories of positions for which companies are willing to give preference to veterans and the willingness of employers to hire war veterans. The main risks faced by former military personnel after returning from the front, the problems of inconsistency of military experience with modern requirements of civilian life and insufficient access to specialized education to adapt to new conditions. The importance of a gender perspective in the development of policies and programs to effectively support women veterans, including psychological assistance, gender-sensitive rehabilitation, vocational training and access to resources in the areas of health, employment, education and social integration, taking into account the best international standards and practices. The author argues that it is necessary to integrate the best international practices of successful implementation of programs to support and socialize veterans. The experience of developed countries confirms the expediency of developing and implementing specialized programs aimed at ensuring employment and stimulating self-employment of veterans.
