Залучення іноземних інженерів, технологів і науковців стало важливим елементом модернізації промислового потенціалу та впровадження передових технологій у Радянському Союзі. У роботі аналізуються мотиви, умови співпраці, а також внесок фахівців із США, Німеччини, Великобританії та інших країн у розвиток стратегічних галузей економіки, таких як металургія, машинобудування, енергетика. Особливу увагу приділено впливу їхньої діяльності на українські підприємства, як-от ДніпроГЕС, Харківський тракторний завод та інші об’єкти індустріального будівництва. Водночас розглядаються складнощі культурної адаптації, політичний контроль з боку радянської влади та подальша доля іноземних фахівців після завершення проектів.The study considers the role of foreign specialists in the process of industrialization in the USSR in the 1920-1930s, in particular on the example of the Ukrainian SSR. The involvement of foreign engineers, technologists and scientists became an important element of the modernization of industrial potential and the introduction of advanced technologies in the Soviet Union. The paper analyzes the motives, conditions of cooperation, as well as the contribution of specialists from the USA, Germany, Great Britain and other countries to the development of strategic sectors of the economy, such as metallurgy, engineering, energy. Particular attention is paid to the impact of their activities on Ukrainian enterprises, such as DniproHPP, Kharkiv Tractor Plant and other objects of industrial construction.
