Стрімкий розвиток технічного оснащення світової морської галузі посилює роль фундаментальної підготовки кадрів. З огляду на це перед вітчизняною морською освітою постаю завдання забезпечення якісної фізико-математичної підготовки майбутніх випускників із урахуванням міжнародних вимог та стандартів. Водночас не втрачають свою цінність і національні здобутки щодо організації освітнього процесу в морських закладах освіти. Метою дослідження є розкриття ґенези змісту, форм і методів підготовки майбутніх фахівців у закладах вищої освіти морського профіля в Україні в кінці ХХ – на початку ХХІ століття й визначення перспективних напрямів удосконалення підготовки майбутніх фахівців морської галузі в контексті сучасних освітніх реформ.Ukraine has considerable potential in providing the international fleet with highly skilled specialists. Rapid development of the technical equipment of the world maritime industry enhances the role of fundamental training of personnel. In view of this, in the face of domestic marine education, the challenge is to provide high-quality physical and mathematical training for future graduates, taking into account international requirements and standards. At the same time, their value and national achievements in organizing the educational process in marine education institutions are not lost. The aim of the study is to reveal the genesis of the content, forms and methods of training future specialists in higher education institutions of the maritime profile in Ukraine at the end of the XX – the beginning of the XXI century and to identify future directions for improving training of future specialists in the maritime industry in the context of modern educational reforms. The study has found out that the system of training specialists in the maritime industry was characterized by numerous reform processes, among which the following should be singled out: Marine Reform of 1944; Polytechnic training in naval schools; computerization of the educational process. Among the methods of teaching leading place occupied explanatory-illustrative and reproductive methods. At the same time, during this period, there was a decrease in the level of school preparation in fundamental sciences for entering higher education institutions. In view of this, there was a need to introduce a system of measures aimed at raising the level of knowledge of cadets.
