On the basis of a systematic scientific analysis, the essence, structure and components of the pedagogical competence of the teacher of psychology of a higher education institution are substantiated, the criteria, indicators and levels of its formation are determined. The concept of the development of pedagogical competence of future teachers of psychology is presented, the principles, model and psychological and pedagogical conditions of its development in the conditions of the master's degree are defined. The organizational and methodological foundations, content, forms, methods and technologies for the development of pedagogical competence of future teachers of psychology are substantiated, taking into account modern educational challenges. The importance of pedagogical practice and the development of the ability to self-reflection in the professional development of future teachers of psychology in the conditions of the master's degree are revealed.
