Висвітлено міжнародно-правові та політичні умови становлення США як суб’єкта міжнародних відносин, охарактеризовано роль Паризького мирного договору 1783 року у процесі міжнародного визнання нової держави. Окрему увагу приділено аналізу зовнішньополітичного курсу адміністрації Джорджа Вашингтона, зокрема політиці нейтралітету, її передумовам, змісту та значенню для державного становлення США. Проаналізовано вплив зовнішньої політики на формування державних інституцій, економічний розвиток та міжнародну легітимацію Сполучених Штатів наприкінці XVIII століття.The master’s thesis provides a comprehensive analysis of the historiography and source base of the study and reveals the main factors influencing the formation of U.S. foreign policy in the first decade after gaining independence. The international legal and political conditions of the United States’ emergence as a subject of international relations are examined, with particular attention paid to the significance of the Treaty of Paris (1783) in the process of international recognition of the new state. Special attention is devoted to the analysis of the foreign policy course of George Washington’s administration, especially the policy of neutrality, its prerequisites, content, and significance for the state-building process of the United States.
