У статті досліджено динаміку головної кількісної характеристики стоку: витрати води (середньорічні, максимальні та мінімальні). Встановлено, що для середньорічних витрат води річки Псел характерна стійка тенденція до зниження, маловодні роки переважають над багатоводними, а з 1989 року триває маловодна фаза; значення показника максимальних витрат води різко знижується, 58,5% вибірки мають значення менше 87,8 м3/с; динаміка мінімальних витрат води характеризується незначною хвилеподібною низхідною динамікою, хоча найнижче значення мінімальних витрат води за досліджуваний період у 2,9 разів вище від мінімального багаторічного показника. У висновку автори зазначають, що наявні всі ознаки маловоддя: зменшуються усі досліджувані кількісні показники стоку, а також тенденція, яку констатують вчені про внутрішньорічний перерозподіл стоку, для річки Псел уцілому прослідковується.The article is devoted to an important problem of today - the analysis of water content of rivers using the example of the Psel River, a left-bank tributary of the Dnieper, which originates outside the Sumy region and flows through the territory of the region for about 176 km (24,5% of the river's length). The purpose of the study: to analyze the water content of the Psel River using the important quantitative characteristics of the expenses of water to the data of the hydrological post of the city of Sumy in the period from 1979 to 2019. The article examines the dynamics of the main quantitative characteristics of the flow: expenses of water (average, maximum and minimum). It was established that the the average annual expenses of water of the Psel River is characterized by a steady downward trend, low-water years prevail over high-water ones, and the low-water phase has been ongoing since 1989; the maximum flows are characterized by a wave-like downward dynamics, 58.5% of the sample data have a value of less than 87.8 m3/s, only in 1988 the highest figure of 533 m3/s was recorded, which is 1.8 times lower than the maximum multi-year water flow rate according to this post; the minimum water consumption is characterized by a slight wave-like downward dynamics, the value of the minimum water consumption (5.05 m3/s) for the studied period is 2.9 times higher than the minimum multi-year indicator.
