Важливоя умовою досягнення високих результатів підготовки фахівців іноземної мови є оптимальне поєднання аудиторної та самостійної позааудиторної роботи студентів. Дуже вагомим є розвиток самостійності студента, формування навичок самостійної пошукової діяльності, здатності брати на себе відповідальність, самостійно вирішувати проблему, знаходити конструктивні рішення, вихід із кризової ситуації тощо. Позааудиторна робота утворює у студентів уміння володіти прийомами аналізу, синтезу, узагальнення, порівняння; розвиває гнучкість мислення; відкриває можливості для розвитку та стабілізації позитивних мотивів учіння для активізації процесу оволодіння іноземною мовою як засобом спілкування й формування особистості висококваліфікованого фахівця.The article examines the role of extracurricular work in improving the quality of training of future foreign language specialists. An important condition for achieving high results in the training of foreign language specialists is the optimal combination of classroom and independent extracurricular work of students. The development of the student's independence, the formation of the skills of independent search activity, the ability to take responsibility, independently solve a problem, find constructive solutions, a way out of a crisis situation, etc., is very important. Extracurricular work develops students' ability to master the techniques of analysis, synthesis, generalization, comparison; develops flexibility of thinking; opens opportunities for the development and stabilization of positive learning motives to activate the process of mastering a foreign language as a means of communication and forming the personality of a highly qualified specialist. The content of extracurricular work is determined by the general content of education of student youth, which includes mental, moral, labor, aesthetic, preventive, gender and civic education. Extracurricular work is also an important part of learning a foreign language. It deepens students' knowledge, expands their horizons, gives them the opportunity to get to know the country whose language is being studied, its literature, culture, and places of interest. In this way, it contributes to the activation of cognitive activity.
