Авторами було проаналізовано застосування історичних картин на уроках, їхнє значення у формуванні уявлень в учнів про козаків на прикладі з теми «Національно визвольної війни середини XVII ст.». Подано методичні прийоми організації навчальної діяльності учнів при роботі з картиною. Акцентується увага на тому, що історичний живопис збагачує уяву про давні події, дає можливість розкрити колорит цієї доби та розвиває художні смаки.The formation of historical ideas about the Cossacks by means of painting at the lessons of the history of Ukraine in the 8th grade. The article explores the use of historical painting as a means of identifying and concretizing lessons in Ukrainian history in grade 8. The authors analyzed the use of historical paintings in lessons, their importance in the formation of ideas of students about the Cossacks on the example of the theme "National Liberation War of the middle of the seventeenth century." Methodical methods of organization of students' educational activity in working with the picture are presented.
