Особлива увага приділяється аналізу динаміки водоспоживання та водовідведення, розподілу водних ресурсів в галузевому та територіальному відношеннях, водокористуванні у розрізі басейнів основних річок області. У статті розглянуто структуру водоспоживання, яка складається із підприємств житлово-комунального, ставково-рибного, сільського господарства (82%) та підприємствами промисловості (18%). Встановлено, що негативною тенденцією є той факт, що частка забруднених зворотних вод складає близько 50% від загального водовідведення у поверхневі водні об’єкти. Найбільші показники водос¬поживання та водовідведення зосереджені у найбільших містах області. Максимальні й мінімальні показники забору та відведення води у розрізі басейнів основних річок області, зафіксовані в басейнах р. Псел та р. Ворскли відповідно.The article is devoted to the research of the structure of water resources of the Sumy region and their use. The purpose of the paper is to establish the structure of water resources of the Sumy region and analyze the water intake and drainage in the region. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the dynamics of water consumption and drainage, distribution of water resources in branch and territorial terms, water use in the context of basins of the main rivers of the region. It was established that the structure of water resources of the Sumy region includes superficial (rivers, lakes, reservoirs, ponds, swamps) and underground waters. The dynamics of water collection from natural water bodies indicates a rapid decrease of this indicator from 1995 to 2018 more than 2 times. In the sectoral relation, the largest consumers are enterprises of housing and communal services and agriculture, a significant part of which is concentrated in the industrial complex. Territorially, the maximum indicators of water consumption and water intake are concentrated in the largest cities. It is established that the negative tendency is that the proportion of contaminated re-turn water accounts for about 50% of the total drainage in surface water objects. Maximum and minimum indicators of water intake and discharging in the basins of the main rivers of the region, recorded in the basins of the Psel and Vorskla River respectively.
