Навчальна програма з медіа- та інформаційної грамотності ЮНЕСКО: концептуальні основи

Abstract

У статті авторкою окреслено концептуальні основи навчальної програми з медіа- та інформаційної грамотності, розробленої ЮНЕСКО. Пропоновані в Програмі ідеї та підходи дозволяють вивчати теорію та практику впровадження медіа- та інформаційної грамотності в педагогічну освіту. Метою Програми є підтримка педагогів у засвоєнні компетентностей медіа- та інформаційної грамотності для розробки й реалізації відповідної навчальної програми для середньої школи. Концептуальною основою Програми є три широкі складові медіа- та інформаційної грамотності: створення тексту, власне текст, аудиторія. У Програмі виділено одинадцять модулів, що висвітлюють ключові теми та проблеми сучасних медіа. Модулі, включені в Навчальну програму, можуть бути інтегровані в уже існуючі курси або об’єднані для створення окремого курсу з медіа й інформаційної грамотності.

In the article the author outlines the conceptual foundations of the Media and Information Literacy Curriculum, developed by UNESCO. The author defines information and media competence as ability and willingness: to realize personal information needs; conduct an effective search for information in the Internet and work with information flows; objectively evaluate the accuracy and reliability of information, presented on the Internet; interpret and analyze information which is founded on the Internet; responsibly and safely using of information in the Internet to achieve the desired result; ethic using of information in the Internet. The Media and Information Literacy Curriculum is a valuable resource for any educator who is interested in media and information literacy. It defines general framework and sets the terminology for further studying of this industry. In addition, the program provides opportunities for Curriculum’s developers, classroom teachers and media professionals to collaborate in creating and implementing media and information literacy programs. The Media and Information Literacy Curriculum provides the teachers training to work with a complex set of various information channels and resources: with various media, libraries, archives, as well as the Internet. It is an important resource of competence in the process of improving the quality of teaching methods of traditional academic disciplines. The Curriculum can be used to develop media and information literacy in any subject and to be part of a separated and integrated program. The ideas and approaches, proposed in the program, allow you to study the theory and practice of introducing media and information literacy into teacher education. The aim of the program is to support teachers in mastering of the competences of media and information literacy for the development and implementation of curriculum for school. The conceptual basis of the Media and Information Literacy Curriculum has three broad components of media and information literacy: text creation, text and audience. The Media and Information Literacy Curriculum contains eleven modules that cover key topics and issues of modern media. The modules of Curriculum can be integrated into courses or can be used in separate course on media and information literacy.
