Ideas of a Free Higher Education: Reflection in the Intellectual Space of Ukraine at the End of the XIX-th – the Beginning of the XX-th Century

Abstract

In exploration found out dynamics approaches generators scientific and pedagogical ideas to address the problem of free high school in the context of the European and global dimension. It is proved that the local representatives of the public-pedagogical movement were guided by the ideas and experience of free higher education institutions in Europe and the USA, the practice of the first systematic academic and popular science courses for the people. The statement of the priorities of reform pedagogy on the territory of Ukraine at the end of XIX-th – the beginning of the XX-th centuries, aimed at the implementation of the principles of science, culture, democratization, civic orientation of education.

У розвідці з’ясовано динаміку підходів генераторів науково-педагогічної думки до розгляду проблеми вільної вищої школи у контексті європейського і світового виміру. Доведено, що вітчизняні представники громадсько-педагогічного руху орієнтувалася на ідеї та досвід вільних вищих шкіл країн Європи і США, практику перших систематичних академічних і науково-популярних курсів для народу. Аргументовано утвердження пріоритетів реформаторської педагогіки на території України в кінці ХІХ – на початку ХХ століття, спрямованих на реалізацію принципів науковості, культуровідповідності, демократизації, громадянської спрямованості освіти.
