Виховання демократичних цінностей школярів через учнівське самоврядування

Abstract

Метою статті є аналіз наукових поглядів і власних досліджень стосовно ролі учнівського самоврядування у вихованні демократичних цінностей школярів як почуття свободи, справедливості, солідарності, рівності можливостей, поваги до гідності й прав людини тощо. Визначено умови діяльності органів учнівського самоврядування, що забезпечують формування демократичних цінностей школярів: подолання формалізму в діяльності органів учнівського самоврядування; залучення членів органів самоврядування до процесу оновлення змісту діяльності закладу загальної середньої освіти та до боротьби з негативними явищами в середовищі учнів; надання самоврядування реальних прав і обов'язків; підбір до керівних органів самоврядування найавторитетніших лідерів учнівського колективу; прагнення до розширення структури органів учнівського самоврядування тощо.

The aim of the article is to analyze scientific views and own research concerning the role of student self-government in the upbringing of democratic values of schoolchildren as a manifestation of democracy, students’ awareness of their own beliefs, attitudes, motives, goals and means of self-determination, self-realization, self-development as subjects of democratic interaction, civil society, public authorities and local self-government, developing qualities, abilities and habits necessary for effective activity and interaction in the social, economic, political and cultural spheres of social life, a sense of freedom, justice, solidarity, equality of opportunity, respect for dignity and human rights, etc. The conditions of activity of student self-government bodies that provide formation of democratic values of students are determined: overcoming of formalism in activity of student self-government bodies; involvement of members of self-government bodies in the process of updating the content of the activity of a general secondary education institution and in combating negative phenomena among students; giving self-government real rights and responsibilities; selection of the most authoritative leaders of the student collective to governing bodies of self-government; the desire to expand the structure of student self-government bodies; the respect of teachers to the independent decisions of the student collective and its bodies, not to impose their will on students in matters that are referred to the competence of self-government bodies; qualified, tactful pedagogical assistance to the student’s asset, teaching it complex management activity; practice of changing the functions of the head and subordinate in the children’s collective; systematic reporting of members of self-government bodies to the collective, that gives the opportunity to control their activities.
