Значення наукового доробку краєзнавчих осередків України 1920-х років для розвитку географічної науки

Abstract

У статті на основі аналізу літературних та архівних джерел показано значення наукової діяльності та творчої спадщини вчених провідних науково-краєзнавчих товариств України 1920-х років для подальшого розвитку регіональних географічних досліджень. З’ясовано внесок товариств у розвиток фундаментальних та прикладних природничих досліджень, географічної освіти, виховання молоді. Встановлено, що дослідження краєзнавчих товариств відіграли важливу роль у розвитку народного господарства, піднесенні продуктивних сил, освоєнні природних ресурсів України в 20-х роках ХХ ст. Краєзнавчим осередкам вдалося згуртувати навколо себе відомих вчених та краєзнавців-аматорів різних регіонів України, організувати наукові екскурсії та експедиції, налагодити видавничу діяльність, сприяти популяризації географічних знань серед широких верств населення. Встановлено, що наукова спадщина вчених краєзнавчих осередків України не втратила свого наукового і пізнавального значення і сьогодні.

In the article on the basis of analysis of literary and archival sources we showed the importance of scientific activity and creative heritage of scientists of leading scientific-regional centers of Ukraine in 1920s for further development of regional geographical researches. We have established the contribution of societies into the development of fundamental and applied natural researches, geographical education, and youth education. We have found out that researches of regional societies played an important role in the development of national economy, raising of productive forces, mastering of natural resources of Ukraine in 20s of XX century. Regional centers succeeded to unite famous scientists and regional ethnographers-amateurs from different regions of Ukraine, to organize scientific excursions and expeditions, to arrange publishing activity, to promote the popularization of geographical knowledge among wide sections of the population. We have established that scientific heritage of scientists of regional centers of Ukraine did not lose its scientific and educational meaning at present time.
