Анотація
У статті наведено досвід використання наукових дискусій у процесі проведення семінарських занять з дисципліни «Основи екології». Надаються методичні рекомендації, які дозволяють виробити в студентів навички публічного виступу, вміння професійно грамотно, логічно, аргументовано відстоювати свою позицію з тих чи інших суперечливих екологічних питань. Використання дискусії дає можливість студентам отримати нову інформацію й підвищити свою компетентність, перевірити власні ідеї та оцінити їх достовірність, розвинути комунікативні якості.
The paper analyzes the literature sources concerning the use of scientific debate in higher educational institutions, which demonstrates that competently done debate has a great educational value. It teaches to formulate their own utterances to defend their point of view, to respect the opinions of others. The correct organization of educational debate leads to the fact that there are no students who do not work in the classroom, increased cognitive activity and creative independence, the students begin to understand each other better, increasing self-criticism: the students precisely evaluate their capabilities, better control themselves and form communicative skills necessary for life in society. The available guidelines allow students to develop skills in public speaking, to defend their position on various controversial environmental issues competently, with logical arguments. It is noted that in the course of «Fundamentals of Ecology» educational discussion at the most appropriate seminars on the following topics: «Fundamentals of Theoretical Ecology» and «The applied aspects of ecology» are conducted. The estimated theme of abstract works are relevant to the seminars. Learned knowledge and obtained skills, received ability to operate ecological terms and categories, to identify and analyze the major trends of social and ecological development of society, received ability to formulate and argue their views on ecological issues, significantly increase the understanding of global ecological problems and the related human society towards greening. The authors has demonstrated that the scientific debate is one of the most active verbal teaching methods aimed at the formation of communicative competence in learning ecology.
