Сепаратизм у Великобританії: характеристика основних осередків

Abstract

Стаття присвячена вивченню сепаратизму у Великобританії. Розглянуті основні осередки поширення, причини, форми та інтенсивність проявів цього явища в Об’єднаному Королівстві. Сепаратизм різної інтенсивності має місце і в частинах, що входять до складу держави (Шотландія, Пінічна Ірландія, Уельс), і в Заморських Територіях та Коронних Землях, на які поширюється її суверенітет (Гібралтар, Чагос, острів Мен, Нормандські острови Гернсі та Джерсі, Шетландські острови (острів Форвік Гольм) та ін.). Осередком з найбільш активними сепаратистськими настроями є Шотладія; в Уельсі, Північній Ірландії, Англії, інших територіях прояви сепаратизму є поміркованими або латентними. За формою прояву у Великобританії переважає сепаратизм сецесійний та іредентизм. Зазвичай, сепаратизм у Великобританії викликаний прагненням етнічних груп, що компактно проживають на її території, до створення власних держав. Країні доводиться протистояти цілій низці проблем, пов’язаних із сепаратизмом.

The United Kingdom has to deal with a number of issues related to separatism. After leaving the European Union at the end of January 2020, it itself is in danger of losing its territorial integrity. Separatism of varying intensity takes place both in its constituent parts and in the Overseas Territories and Crown Lands, to which its sovereignty extends. Separatist sentiment has developed in Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Gibraltar, the Chagos archipelago, the Isle of Man, Forwick Holm (Shetland Islands), the Channel Islands, Guernsey and Jersey, but the most pronounced is in Scotland and the North. Active Scottish separatism is secession in form, driven primarily by economic, historical and political reasons. Manifestations of separatism in Northern Ireland are weaker than in Scotland, it is moderate in the form of irredentism, due to socio-cultural, in particular, religious factors. Separatism in the British colony of Gibraltar manifests itself in the form of irredentism and is moderate in intensity, the causes − economic and historical factors. Chago separatism is ethnic for reasons, moderate in intensity, in the form of irredentism. Welsh (Welsh) separatism aims to create a separate state of Wales, it is due to religious, political and linguistic reasons and is secession in form. Ethnic separatism on the Isle of Man is in a very latent state. The separatist sentiments are also expressed by the people of London, who have also stated in a petition that they wish to secede from Great Britain and make London independent. Cornish separatism, a movement to support the formation of an independent government in England, on one of the Shetland Islands − Forwick Holm, the islands of Guernsey and Jersey, which are part of the Channel Islands, in Yorkshire and the Isle of Wight (White).
